Matthew McPhee is an award-winning videographer, photographer and filmmaker, currently living in the Greater Toronto Area, specializing in short films, music videos and documentary subjects. He is a graduate of Durham College, where he earned diplomas in both Journalism and Digital Video Production.

Matthew's short films, HACK JOB and PLAYMATE, have played in dozens of film festivals around the world, and PLAYMATE was ultimately acquired by Crypt TV, the Eli Roth-founded and Blumhouse-backed digital content provider.

In 2017, he produced the nature-run-amok gore-fest FLAMINGOS (written and directed by Adrian Butler). The film is now available to watch on Troma Entertainment's own streaming service, Troma NOW.

Matthew is fueled by telling truthful and subversive stories, by experimenting in fringe and genre cinema, intertwining real life with fantastic elements.
